Visit Our Pain Management Doctors In Scottsdale!
Inspired by a close family member’s personal battle with debilitating pain, Dr. Paul Lynch and Dr. Tory McJunkin had an idea. They wanted to open a pain management practice that did things differently. They were guided by a simple question as they did so: “What type of treatment would we want for our own mom or dad?” The answer resulted in the founding of Arizona Pain, where their comprehensive, integrated approach is combined with world-class care.

We Change Lives At Our Scottsdale Pain Management Clinic
The core of our practice and approach is individualized care. Pain is a personal experience that affects each person differently. Where it hits and to what level of severity will be unique to you.
Knowing this, it makes sense that different methods of treatment will work better for some patients than others. As we analyze your symptoms and goals, we’ll use the following methods of treatment to develop a pain management plan that’s right for you.
Uncovering the source of your pain
We often see patients that have been misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed, an issue that can lead to years of pain and discomfort. At Arizona Pain, we work with patients to uncover an accurate diagnosis from the beginning. This forms our foundation of care as we build your individualized pain treatment plan.
Some of the tests and studies we perform may include:
- CT scans
- Neurological examinations
- Electromyograms (EMGs)
- Sleep and nutrition studies
Using these advanced methods of testing, our team can work together to pinpoint the source of your pain.
Our integrated care approach
At Arizona Pain, we believe in treating each patient as a whole person. Through an integrated care approach, our pain management doctors in Scottsdale go beyond symptom management. We focus on less invasive therapies and coordinated care when possible, and use cutting-edge interventions to treat severe, unremitting pain.
While every case is unique, and some may require the use of medication, our goal is to avoid this when possible. Through other avenues of pain management, we can help you find the relief you need with less medications. This typically results in an ability to return to work and other daily activities more easily.
A powerful pain management plan must be anchored in interventional techniques to manage pain, but complementary care lays the foundation for ongoing pain relief and symptom management for years to come. What does comprehensive therapy look like?
Our Scottsdale pain management team may recommend:
- Chiropractic care
- Mental health support
- Exercise and nutritional counseling
Many of these therapies come with no or few side effects. They are simple ways to manage your symptoms in order to return to your normal life.
Interventional pain treatments
Our pain management doctors in Scottsdale always look beyond symptom management. our goal is to develop a plan that will help you get back to a life with less pain.
In some cases, we may recommend a minimally invasive procedure in our on-site surgical center. The interventional procedures we routinely perform include, but are not limited to:
- Epidural steroid injections
- Radiofrequency ablation
- Joint injections
- Spinal cord stimulation
- Nerve blocks
Nearly all of our interventional treatments are outpatient procedures that allow you to go home the same day. All of these cutting-edge procedures have been shown to be extremely successful in treating pain and many lead to instant pain relief.
