Dr. Amy M. Cannatta, DC, is a distinguished graduate of the University of Bridgeport, College of Chiropractic, where she earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees with honors. Since embarking on her professional journey in 2006, Dr. Cannatta has established a thriving solo private practice, demonstrating her expertise and passion for chiropractic care.

During her illustrious tenure of 10 years as a chiropractor in Connecticut, Dr. Cannatta served as a valued team physician for the WNBA Connecticut Sun Women’s Basketball team, as well as NCAA Division 1 athletes, catering to their diverse range of spine and joint-related injuries. Her commitment to excellence in patient care and her ability to address intricate medical concerns garnered recognition and respect within the field.

In 2015, Dr. Cannatta published her highly acclaimed book, “Pursepective: From Ruin to Resilience,” shedding light on the critical issue of domestic violence. The book’s profound impact was swiftly acknowledged as it soared to the prestigious rank of #1 Amazon Bestseller, affirming Dr. Cannatta’s exceptional storytelling skills and her dedication to raising awareness on important societal matters.

In 2016, driven by her unwavering pursuit of professional growth, Dr. Cannatta relocated to Arizona, where she joined a renowned spine and joint surgical practice as their esteemed consultation physician. Within this esteemed role, she collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of 25 Board Certified neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons, assuming the crucial responsibility of clinical triage for surgical and non-surgical treatment. Furthermore, she diligently analyzed and interpreted advanced diagnostic imaging, facilitating accurate diagnoses and generating tailored surgical orders for meticulous review by the surgical team. 

Throughout her career, Dr. Cannatta has remained resolute in her commitment to patient education and empowerment. Guided by her core belief that informed patients can make more sound decisions regarding their healthcare, she endeavors to ensure patients comprehend the underlying causes of their conditions and are fully aware of the available treatment alternatives. Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Cannatta enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, cooking, and playing with her brindle boxer, Callie.  She also has two daughters, Celia and Maggie.
