In addition to being a festive holiday favorite, the cranberry give you an internal boost too. Mixed into a drink, their juice will provide your body with a powerful boost of antioxidants, while also helping the liver to eliminate alcohol from the bloodstream.
Join in on that holiday cheer, with a cranberry beverage (or two!), and make a toast to your health!
Non-Alcoholic Mulled Cranberry Juice Spritzer (Serves 4-6)
- 1 32-ounce bottle cranberry juice
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 8-10 whole cloves
- 2 star anise
- 1 cardamon pod
- ½ vanilla bean, with the seeds scraped out
- Club soda
- Combine all ingredients except for the ice and club soda, in a large saucepan set over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to medium-low. Continue to simmer for approximately 15 minutes. Strain to remove the thyme, cinnamon sticks, cloves, anise, cardamon, and vanilla bean.
- Serve the cranberry mixture warm, on its own, or allow to cool and serve over ice with a splash of club soda.
