Almonds are a great anti-inflammatory food, and almond milk is low in calories; one cup is only 40 calories, making it less than half the calories in one cup of skim milk! Almond milk works great in smoothies and gives them a hint of almond flavor. This recipe makes enough for 4 one cup servings.

  • 6-8 large unsweetened, frozen strawberries
  • 2 cups vanilla flavored unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (for a thicker smoothie. Omit if you want a thinner smoothie).
