December is one of our favorite months; not only does the weather seem like a glorious reward for having survived another summer, but it is also a time to celebrate the birth of Christ. This month’s issue of Arizona Pain Monthly is dedicated to spirit. We hope to honor your spirit, and ours, by providing great information on innovative research taking place at APS, fibromyalgia and the many treatment options, how to avoid winter sport injuries and a handful of holiday recipes to keep your family warm and well fed.

And the angel answered her, “the holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the most high will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy–the Son of God. – Luke 1:35

This holiday season, as you hold your family close and celebrate the end of the year, we hope you will reflect on your blessings. We certainly will be thinking of you when saying our thanks. 2011 has been another incredibly successful year for APS; we have been able to see and treat more patients than ever before. We are so thankful our great staff has been able to relieve the pain of so many in Arizona. We have only bigger dreams for 2012.

May the spirit of the season bless you and your family!
From our families to yours,
Tory McJunkin, MD and Paul Lynch, MD, Arizona Pain Specialist Founders
