Welcome – March 2012

It seems we start each month telling you why we love this time of year; better to celebrate the time at hand! March brings St. Patrick’s Day, the blossoming of the desert floor and yet another gentle month to enjoy outside.
St. Patrick’s Day – you likely know – has been celebrated in Ireland for more than a 1000 years. St. Patrick taught the Irish people the holy trinity Father, Son and Holy Ghost, by using the shamrock. Although the holiday was once celebrated by wearing blue, it has since morphed into an international celebration of all things lucky and green.
In this March issue, you’ll find St. Patrick’s Day inspired recipes, along with a feature of one of our most inspiring patients. Local Sun Devil football star Aaron Pflugrad graces our cover and discusses his journey to athletic eminence. We also provide information on helping ease joint pain, and the history of acupuncture. It is an issue we hope provides the right balance of entertainment and information.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

– Matthew 28:19

And of course, we would be remiss if we didn’t say how lucky we feel to be at the helm of Arizona Pain. March brings yet another time to reflect on how truly lucky we feel to work with such a diverse and dedicated staff, and to heal those suffering from pain in our community. Lucky, indeed.

May you find your pot of gold this month!

From our families to yours,
Dr. Tory McJunkin and Dr. Paul Lynch
